Our Story
The Three Miracles Legacy Foundation was born out of a profound personal journey of hope, resilience, and transformation. Its founders, Mildred, Maisha, and Mara , experienced three pivotal moments—or miracles—that reshaped their life and planted the seed for a mission-driven organization dedicated to creating lasting impact.
The first miracle came in the form of a life-changing realization about the power of community. Where Mildred witnessed the collective strength of neighbors and family coming together to support each other in times of crisis ignited a deep desire to harness that same spirit of unity to address systemic challenges.
The second miracle emerged during a volunteer trip, where Maisha saw firsthand the transformative impact of targeted support and resources. Working alongside grassroots organizations, they recognized that sustainable change was possible when people had access to tools, education, and opportunities.
The final miracle came as a deeply personal moment of healing and clarity. After overcoming significant obstacles, Mara felt called to ensure that others facing similar challenges would have the support they needed to not only survive but thrive.
In 2025, the Three Miracles Legacy Foundation was established with a clear mission: to empower individuals and communities by addressing critical needs in education, health, and economic development. Built on the belief that every person has the potential to spark change, the foundation’s name honors the transformative power of three pivotal moments that inspire a legacy of impact.

At the Three Miracles Legacy Foundation, we believe change is best measured by the difference made in people’s lives and neighborhoods. Since our founding, we’ve worked side by side with the Oakland community to restore pride, build connections, and create lasting impact.
